The arsenal

How to play

The idea

Both captains are dealt the same ten weapons, one shot each. You take turns. Points are the damage you do; damage you do to yourself comes straight back off your own score. When the weapons run out, the higher score wins - or you can settle it early by putting your opponent on the bottom.

Water is not air

There is no simple arc here. Water drags hard, so an unpowered shot dies in a second or two and range comes from a torpedo's own motor. Depth charges sink, mines rise, and the ocean current pushes everything sideways - it is shown at the top of the screen and it changes every round. Anything fast enough can punch through the surface into air, where it arcs like artillery until it lands back in the water. That is how you get over a ridge.

Controls

Drag anywhere on the water to aim - direction sets your bearing, distance sets power. Or use the dial and the sliders. WASD manoeuvre the boat and spend thrust, which refills every turn. Space fires. On a phone, drag the board to aim and use the thruster pad. Unlike a tank, you can go anywhere in the water column - depth is a real option, and hiding behind the seabed works.
